Exempt Salaried Position: $58,000/yr

Lead Teachers are responsible for planning and providing daily classroom instruction, will promote all aspects of early childhood development (e.g., cognitive, social-emotional, and physical realms), and will incorporate developmentally appropriate daily classroom activities.
Cedar School implements the Experience Curriculum, which is aligned with early learning and developmental guidelines. Lead Teachers will regularly evaluate and document student progress through portfolios and assessments.
Lead Teachers manage and collaborate with teaching assistants to maintain a physical environment that is clean, safe, orderly, and conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.
Lead Teachers are expected to attend trainings, staff meetings, and family events as required.
Other duties as assigned by the Administration.

Basic Requirements:
Lead teachers are required to work a minimum shift of Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
Washington State DCYF requirements for ECE Lead Teacher
AA or BA in ECE or related field plus two years performing in the role of ECE Lead Teacher preferred
A minimum of 20 college-level ECE credits preferred
You must have completed STARS Basic 30, BBP, CPR, and First Aid, and have a Food Handler's Card prior to hire
Successfully complete or have completed a Background Check
