Teaching Associates (i.e., Lead Teaching Assistants) $25/hr

Teaching Assistants $23/hr

Position to Commence Fall (Anticipated Mid to Late September 2023)

Associate and Assistant Teachers are responsible for providing safe, clean, caring, academically and socially enriching environments for children and work with the Lead Teacher to execute the curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities.

Associate and Assistant Teachers perform activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each individual in the group and work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher to discuss and aid in the implementation of daily plans in accordance with the curriculum, as well as other duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher or Administration.

Teaching Associates are required to fulfill the role of Lead Teacher when there is an absence or prolonged leave of the Lead Teacher. 

Teaching Associates and Assistants are expected to attend trainings, staff meetings, and family events as required.

School holidays and breaks paid (a combined total of approximately 4 weeks per year), plus up to an additional 48 hours of personal paid time off annually ( 1 hour PTO accrued for every 40 hours worked)

Basic Requirements:

Associate Teachers are required to work a shift of Monday - Friday 8:15 am - 5:15 pm.

Assistant Teachers are required to work a shift of Monday - Friday 8:45 am - 5:45 pm.

Washington State DCYF requirements for ECE Assistant Teacher

AA or BA in ECE or related field plus one year performing in the role of ECE Assistant Teacher preferred

A minimum of 12 college-level ECE credits preferred

You must have completed STARS Basic 30, BBP, CPR, and First Aid, and have a Food Handler's Card prior to hire

Successfully complete or have completed a Background Check
